Two-month-old Bellamere Arwyn Duncan died after allegedly being given an adult dose of phosphate by a Manawatu pharmacy, despite a correct prescription being issued.
Her grieving parents told state-funded legacy media the dosage error occurred just days after the same pharmacy refused to dispense Vitamin D over concerns it was too strong—raising questions about consistency and oversight.
The Ministry of Health and Health NZ are conducting a joint review, while Medsafe and the Pharmacy Council investigate.
The parents are now calling for a law requiring all medications to be double-checked before being dispensed, describing the mistake as “negligence.”
The coroner’s preliminary opinion is that Bellamere died of phosphate toxicity.
That’s appalling! That’s what I call gross incompetence in the workplace – of the century!
My love and prayers to those grieving parents.
It is time people woke up to the fact that the medical profession is rife with grift that engenders incompetence.
In 1910, the Flexner Report prepared by Abraham Flexner, who boasted a B.A. in classics, completely reformed the medical system in the U.S.. Medical schools that taught what we now call Natural or Alternative medicine were de-registered leaving only those that taught Allopathic (“we have a pill for your condition”). It was a coup by big pharma.
Never take a doctors advice without researching the procedure, drug and dose. I repeat – NEVER!
i have personally survived three instances of medical misadventure, I know what I am talking about.
I was in hospital with a heart problem and they didn’t test me to properly and kept changing their plans. I tested my fitness myself with stair walks which proved acceptable at which point I chose to leave the hospital before damage was done.
Sounds like manslaughter to me.
Never trust doctor’s.
