Rosie Morunga, a key figure in the investigation of the tragic death of toddler Baby Ru, is now facing charges following an alleged attack on a journalist outside a Wellington courthouse.
Morunga, along with two others, was involved in an incident with a journalist from NZME last year, according to a report in legacy media.
While no charges have been laid in connection with Baby Ru’s death, Morunga and her co-accused are facing theft, assault, and document-related charges stemming from the altercation.
Morunga’s name was revealed today after a failed appeal for name suppression. Suppression, however, remains for her co-accused. The case continues, with Morunga scheduled to appear in court in May.
