Labour has edged ahead of National in the latest Taxpayers’ Union-Curia Poll, gaining three seats to lead with 44, while National falls slightly to 42.

Although the Centre-Right bloc could still form a government with 62 seats, its lead is narrowing as the Centre-Left rises to 60.

Voter concern has shifted from the cost of living to the broader economy, now cited as the most important issue.

ACT and Te Pāti Māori hold steady, while New Zealand First and the Greens lose ground.

The Taxpayers’ Union warns the post-Budget poll reflects growing voter dissatisfaction with the government’s economic strategy.

  1. National and co could easily have glided into a second term but all the horrible things they are proposing, exaggerated military spending, the repulsive Gene Tech Bill, upping carcinogenic herbicide in our food, failure to fund essential services and generally behaving like plonkers, have clearly put voters right off.

Whats just as shocking, is that anyone would support globalist Labour. To my mind, they never deserve to see office, ever again.

    • Exactly and they have done absolutely nothing about the biased left wing media who attack any right wing party and only put up sound bites of left wing politicians.

The fact so many people support Labour , shows you just how many people get money and funding from the left wing.

  2. Labour, National who cares it is all just globalist puppets hell bent on destroying this country for their bosses.

  3. I have been offered a role in Australia. AU$200k + Car, petrol, moving costs.

Nothing here in NZ for me now except struggle and hardship.

National has blown it. Luxon is a one term PM.

Up yours Luxon. No second term for you little boy! End of your short term political career too.

  4. Is NZ really that devoid of any fuctioning brain cell?
    Is NZ really that dumb?
    Are these polls real?
If so, please God have mercy on Godzone!

  5. “Voter concern has shifted from the cost of living to the broader economy, now cited as the most important issue…”

Absolute BS statement by the pollsters. The cost of living is still astronomical last time I checked. Guarantee you more people are worried about making rent and car payments than how many basis points commodities fell by this morning.

Unless National fixed all that while I wasn’t looking? Did the cost of petrol, rent and groceries come down yet? Are we all rich now, I certainly haven’t felt it.

Or maybe ALL polls are fake and ghey, and they’re just laying the narrative for the next WWE kayfabe election.

“Yeah nah mate, economy’s not looking too hot so I thought I’d give the unhinged HIJKLMNOP marxists who turned our country into a mass prison and a medical apartheid state another try 😁👍👍”

In what world do they expect us to buy this? 😑
