NZ First pledges to abolish Waitangi Tribunal

NZ First will introduce legislation within 100 days of the election to abolish the Waitangi Tribunal and replace it with a Treaty of Waitangi Completion Commission.

The party said the commission would finalise claims dating from before 2008 before winding it up. Contemporary claims from Treaty settlements would then be handled by a strengthened Ministry of Maori Development.

NZ First said the Tribunal had become a “make-work organisation” and accused activists of using it to challenge Parliament’s authority and interfere with legislation.

  1. And while you are at it abolish any individual or organization that is pushing the globalist agenda, the treaty was only ever part of the globalist divide and conquer strategy anyway.

  2. ”NZ First said the Tribunal had become a “make-work organisation” and accused activists of using it to challenge Parliament’s authority and interfere with legislation”.

The Waitangi Tribunal had been vested with legislative authority which controls the legislation put through the House of Representatives. The foreign NZ Company Church Parliament created a body with no constitutional continuance and handed them legislative control and authority to change it, if so required, per Treaty of Waitangi Act amendment 1985 Section 8 (1,2,3,4).
What has continued from the establishment of this tribunal is the continual addition of legislation which includes heads of Trust Boards of tribal districts. These have been determined by the Governor Generals and are appointments made by the foreign NZ Company Church Parliament. So, more ‘porkies’ from a political party of the foreign NZ Company Church Parliament campaigning for your vote.

  3. Publishing the history of Hone Heke’s rampages against his Maori neighbours in the service of Reverend Marsden and his “missionaries” would be a very revealing exercise…
Although it might go against the “orthodox” narrative. Hone was the first Maori chief to sign the Waitangi Treaty – although he did later get the hump with the British.

    • Yes over taxation believe it or not. He ran around with a American flag as a symbol of opposition to perceived over taxation. Its not a new issue! I image he and his ilk, would be horrified by the tax piracy, we see today.

  4. Get rid of the waitangi tribunal, end the never ending settlement grift, go through the charity register and get rid of any race based charities. While you’re at it, do a DEEP a dive into who is running the charity, find out which multi million dollar mansion they have purchased recently, where the money comes from, and look at supposed outcomes. I want to see them audited by central government yearly and stop using these accounting firms that have been set up by all the relatives of the people running the charities to present the books in certain ways. This country is so corrupt.

  5. The Treaty Grievance Industry like the Holocaust Industry has run out of road
    A minority group a victim a predator a parasite
Any group claiming to be a victim is invariably a parasite
The parasite eventually kills the host
Time to put these babies to bed once and for all

  6. Much as I have little time left for NZL, at least they are offering appealing marketing to punters, unlike National and Labour, who seem to think they can do as they like and still get elected “because its us”.
