Patient’s cancer surgery cancelled at the last minute amid alleged staff shortages

A man named ‘Graeme’ was just about to have his cancer surgery and was in a hospital gown, only to be informed of its cancellation due to staff shortages.

Responding in state media, Health NZ refuted Graeme’s claims, saying no surgeries were cancelled for staffing reasons at Christchurch Hospital that day.

Diagnosed with stomach cancer in December, Graeme waited for his scheduled surgery last Friday, a condition and procedure that he said was urgent. The four-month wait added to his anxiety, as he felt the cancer might be progressing unchecked.

Prepared and marked for surgery his hopes were dashed when an anaesthetist delivered the news of the cancellation, which the doctor blamed on a shortage of technicians. A bewildered and frustrated Graeme noted surgeries had already commenced earlier in the day, and questioned the alleged shortage.

Health New Zealand said the surgery was deferred due to complications from an earlier procedure, assuring rescheduling for affected patients. Despite the explanation, Graeme criticised the experience stressing the life-threatening nature of his situation.

Concerns arise over healthcare cost-cutting measures were outlined in a recent letter to unions by Health NZ. Changes include ending double shifts, reducing sick leave replacements, and trimming holiday staffing levels.

‘I want a proper health system, not tax cuts. I want to know that when I’m diagnosed with cancer that they will do something about it quick-smart’, said Graeme.

  1. Health NZ was responsible for crime against humanity.
    What do you expect?
Their slogan “Building the future of health (Te hangi wilbe iummi iummi), bodes ominously.
And make no mistake, just because Health NZ and PHARMAC are govt entities does not mean that corruption by big pharma is not happening.
Shall we look at the Health NZ functionaries and their revolving doors, the cushy jobs already in the waiting? The promised CEO positions? The ‘jobs’ at universities? The forthcoming book deals or ‘advisory’ positions guaranteed?
This is the same scum that prosecutes Barry Young for releasing their own covid vax death data anonymised, DIRECTLY linking ‘vaccinations’ of each shot location to ensuing deaths, by age, location, batch number.
Health NZ try to be cunning and omit their staff names from the web site.
But we know who you are and where you live Margie Apa, Amy Adams, Tipa Mahuta, Karen Poutasi (who wants to leave the sinking boat), Vanessa Stoddart, and Medical Council of New Zealand Chair Curtis Walker.
As a Crown entity, the agency is responsible to the Minister of Health Shane Reti and David Seymour via its board of six members.
Where will the rats swim to?

    • I really hope that sooner or later these rats will be held accountable for their shameful actions against the public of New Zealand.

  2. There have really been no tax cuts, they are tax screwing people with trusts and anyone renting out a property on line. Labour policies by the way.

So even with the same or more taxes you would see no improvement in healthcare. It simply not a priority for globalist party’s, who are more concerned with taking away human rights and seeing NZ become as authoritarian as say Australia or Canada.

Get the message next election people and take a risk on a new party, like NZLoyal. You have nothing to loose and everything to gain.

  3. Being cynical, I wonder if some of the shortages in the hospital staff were caused by vaccine injury?

Because our society is money based, no domain within our society wants to employ more people than they absolutely need to. When people are off for colds it’s bad enough. When more people are off sick with something else then the system cannot cope and breaks down.

A little off topic but I remember reading a few years ago that (I think it was BP in the UK North Sea) an oil company that manages oil rigs was making discrete enquiries as to how many staff in each area had been vaccinated. Oil rigs are very specialist and staff are difficult to replace. They were making enquiries because years later (i.e. about now in time) they expected most of those to be dead and would already have to have replacements ready to “hit the ground running”.
