Three people are in Auckland Hospital after a late-night crash on State Highway 16 in Huapai, west Auckland, reportedly following a police pursuit.
The incident occurred around 12:45 a.m. on a stretch of road closed for construction. St John dispatched a helicopter and three ambulances to the scene, transporting two individuals in critical condition and one seriously injured to the hospital.
The police pursuit, which began shortly after midnight, reportedly ended in the crash. Police are yet to provide additional details.
