U.S. urges citizens to leave Iran immediately

US citizens must leave Iran now
Tehran, Iran.

The United States has issued an urgent warning to its citizens in Iran, advising them to leave the country immediately and cautioning that Washington will not be able to provide assistance.

In a security alert released on Monday, the US State Department said Americans face serious risks as unrest continues to spread across the Islamic Republic following weeks of deadly clashes between protesters and security forces. Iranian authorities have imposed sweeping restrictions, including shutting down mobile and internet services, which Tehran says are aimed at countering foreign-backed violence.

“Leave Iran now,” the US Virtual Embassy Tehran said, stressing that Americans must make their own travel arrangements and risk assessments because “the US government cannot guarantee your safety if you choose to depart.”

The advisory warned that US nationals face a “significant risk of questioning, arrest, and detention,” noting that holding an American passport alone may be sufficient grounds for detention. Dual US-Iranian citizens were told they must leave using only their Iranian passports.

For those unable to depart, the State Department advised remaining indoors in a secure location and stockpiling essential supplies, including food, water, and medication.

The alert comes amid heightened tensions between Tehran, Washington, and Israel following a summer 2025 conflict in which the US joined Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. President Donald Trump has defended the attacks as necessary to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, a claim Tehran strongly denies.

Last week, Trump said his administration was weighing “very strong options,” including potential airstrikes. Iranian officials have responded by warning that US and Israeli military bases and personnel would become “legitimate targets” if Washington escalates its involvement.

Tehran has also accused the US and Israel of orchestrating unrest inside the country, alleging that foreign-backed infiltrators, including Israeli intelligence operatives, are seeking to destabilise Iran and create a pretext for further intervention.

    • Iran’s economy currency was reduced to the brink of collapse just recently.
Based on the most recent reporting, Iran’s currency has plunged to unprecedented lows, and many analysts describe the situation as being on the brink of collapse.
Iran’s currency hasn’t just weakened — it has collapsed in real purchasing power, making imports (food, medicine ingredients, industrial parts) extremely expensive.
That’s why the situation is being described as a multi‑crisis involving economics, politics, and social stability.
So this latest package of sanctions is serious shart for Iran its economy and people.
All part of tightening the screws in softening up operations preceding an imminent Itsalie attack perceived as the capping corner stone to unfinished business in mopping up operations but widely interpreted as a fatal mistake.

That’s gonna get its head into a noose
Nothings more sure that may necessitate the use of nuclear weapons to extricate itself from its deliberate self imposed predicament

  4. Give the Iranian people a means to protect themselves against the regime’s automatic weapons… TODAY!

My heart goes out to the intelligent and caring Iranian people, I wish them luck and success in toppling the tyrrany and establishing a secular democracy.

    • Its infiltrators, put in place by Mossad and the CIA matey. Your heart should go out to the people of Iran, their society being undermined by the US and Israel.
