Blues keep playoff hopes alive with 40-19 win over Force at Eden Park

The Blues kept their Super Rugby Pacific season alive with a crucial 40-19 victory over the Force at Eden Park, maintaining their hopes of reaching the play-offs.

While the performance was far from flawless, key tries from Cole Forbes, Marcel Renata, AJ Lam, and others secured both the win and an important bonus point, despite a late scare after the final hooter.

The Force showed resistance, including a standout try by Kurtley Beale, but the Blues’ dominance in the Force 22 proved decisive. The defending champions now face another must-win clash against the Drua in Suva next weekend.
