Chiefs outclass Brumbies

Damian McKenzie delivered a masterclass with 22 points, six penalty goals, and a try assist as the Chiefs defeated the Brumbies to set up a final rematch with the Crusaders in Christchurch.

Despite an early yellow card to Tupou Vaa’i and an opening try by Billy Pollard, the Chiefs recovered quickly through Emoni Narawa’s double and McKenzie’s unerring boot.

Corey Toole crossed twice for the Brumbies, including a brilliant solo try, but McKenzie’s relentless penalties and a crucial try-saving tackle on Tom Wright ensured the Chiefs pulled away in the second half, with Josh Jacomb’s try sealing the result.
