The NZ Warriors suffered a heartbreaking 26-24 defeat to the Dolphins after surrendering a late lead in a dramatic finish at Suncorp Stadium.
The visitors battled back from an eight-point deficit, with tries to Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and replacement hooker Sam Healey helping them edge ahead 24-20 in the closing minutes.
However, Selwyn Cobbo produced the match-winning moment, collecting a fortunate bounce to score his second try of the night before Jamayne Isaako converted from the sideline to seal the Dolphins’ eighth consecutive victory.
The Warriors were also dealt a setback when Dallin Watene-Zelezniak left the field with a hamstring concern in his 100th appearance for the club, while former Warrior Kodi Nikorima steered the Dolphins to victory after an injury to Isaiyah Katoa. The Warriors now head into a bye before returning to face the Wests Tigers.
