Liam Lawson delivered a composed and classy performance in treacherous wet conditions to qualify sixth for the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix, marking his eighth Q3 appearance of the season and a second consecutive top-10 start.
The Kiwi steadily improved throughout all three sessions, repeatedly lifting himself out of danger as rain, cold track temperatures, and multiple crashes caught out rivals—including Lewis Hamilton, who qualified last.
Lawson once again outperformed Racing Bulls teammate Isack Hadjar, while Yuki Tsunoda slumped to 19th, strengthening Lawson’s case for a future seat amid Red Bull’s unresolved driver lineup for 2025 and beyond.
With McLaren’s Lando Norris taking pole and Max Verstappen alongside him, Lawson’s wet-weather composure stood out as he converted consistent pace into another strong grid position.
