Tottenham Hotspur have dismissed manager Thomas Frank after just eight months in charge following a sustained period of poor results that left the club sitting 16th in the Premier League, only five points clear of the relegation zone.
The decision came after a 1–2 home defeat to Newcastle United, Tottenham’s 11th league loss of the season, which intensified pressure on the Danish coach.
Appointed in June 2025, Frank had been backed by the club to rebuild long term, but the board ultimately concluded performances had not improved enough to justify continuing with him.
Frank previously earned strong praise for establishing Brentford as a stable top-flight side after promotion but was unable to replicate that success with last season’s Europa League-winning Spurs side.
