The One New Zealand Warriors will open their NSW Cup premiership defence with consecutive Friday night matches at Go Media Stadium, starting with a round one clash against the Sydney Roosters as a curtain-raiser to the NRL blockbuster between the two clubs.

They will remain at home the following week to host the Canberra Raiders, beginning a new season after a historic 2025 campaign in which they claimed the premiership, minor premiership and NRL State Championship.

Coached by David Tangata-Toa, the Warriors’ squad will feature a new look following several departures, with younger pathway players stepping up alongside unselected NRL players, as the expanded 14-team competition—now including Melbourne Storm—moves to a shortened 22-game regular season with four byes per club.
