A 52-year-old British Airways crew member collapsed and died while on duty during a flight from London Heathrow to Hong Kong.

Despite first aid efforts and the arrival of medical assistance, the steward could not be revived, leading to the cancellation of the New Year’s Eve flight due to a “medical emergency.”

Passengers were rebooked onto another flight for the following day.

This incident followed the death of another 52-year-old BA steward in the US on December 23, resulting in the cancellation of a flight and devastated colleagues who were too upset to work.

Both crew members were reportedly healthy, and their sudden deaths have left their families and colleagues in shock and disbelief.
