Erin Patterson has been found guilty of murdering three relatives and attempting to murder a fourth by serving them a beef Wellington lunch laced with deadly death cap mushrooms in Leongatha, Victoria.
The Supreme Court jury concluded that Patterson deliberately collected, dehydrated, and powdered the toxic fungi before concealing them in individually prepared meals in 2023.
Her victims included her former in-laws Don and Gail Patterson and Gail’s sister Heather Wilkinson, while Heather’s husband, Ian Wilkinson, survived after weeks in hospital.
Despite pleading not guilty and claiming it was accidental, Patterson was found to have engaged in multiple deceptions, including disposing of a tainted food dehydrator and lying to police.
The case drew on extensive evidence, including digital forensics and testimony from over 50 witnesses across a nine-week trial.
Because i am nearing the end of my life I have seen the wicked go about their business of treating others poorly. Sometimes for money, sometimes for employment, sometimes for property. Just trying to get an advantage . Whiteness siblings dividing items after a parent pass away. Family members engaging in hostile behaviour towards each other. After the passing of their mother, a sister who went to the famly home and took a whole lot of family things. Some with considerable value, some just for memory sake.
Women using children as income denying access to fathers for financial gain is common.
Women are publicly seen as the more caring of family. From what I see, women can be just as evil as men . Not so much with physical voilence, but psychological violence.
There is a moto from women’s groups “women must be believed.” How can such stupidity be tolerated ?
This deliberate poisoning of family is about as nasty as it gets. Hopefully the Australian court judge recognise these multiple murders of family deserve the maximum penalty.
