A newly published analysis of Antarctic ice core records has argued that modern global warming rates are not unprecedented when compared with natural climate variations over the past 20,000 years.
The 2026 study examined temperature data derived from the Vostok ice core in Antarctica and concluded that the estimated 1.1°C rise in global temperatures since the 1920s falls within the range of historical warming events seen since the last Ice Age.
According to the analysis, around 16 percent of centuries during the post-Ice Age period experienced warming increases equal to or greater than modern levels, leading the study to describe current warming rates as “quite commonplace” in a long-term geological context.
The report also pointed to evidence suggesting Antarctica itself has not experienced continent-wide warming over the last century, despite its role in providing long-term climate and atmospheric carbon dioxide records.
The paper further referenced earlier research indicating the Northern Hemisphere may have warmed by between 4°C and 5°C within a few decades around 14,500 years ago. It also cited estimates that sea levels during that period may have risen by as much as 7.5 metres per century, substantially faster than current observed rates.
The findings challenge claims that recent warming trends are historically unique and raise questions over the extent to which modern climate changes can be attributed solely to human activity.
AI solved the climate issue when the realised how much power they were going to need.
Climate change is dead, I have never believed anything that has been said about climate change, it has to stop.
The narrative has changed, now take all the extra taxes off everyday living costs
Like petrol price at the pump, green taxes will take forever to be removed; because the globalist intent is impoverishment middle income, limit freedom of movement and reduces waste of “resources”.
