Perth man denied bail after police allegedly find weapons and ‘extremist material’

A Western Australian man has been denied bail after police allegedly discovered multiple firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition and notes referencing bomb materials at his Perth home, following online posts supporting the Bondi attackers.

Martin Glynn, 39, was arrested after a member of the public reported an Instagram post made hours after the deadly Hanukkah attack at Bondi Beach, in which he allegedly endorsed the killings.

Prosecutors told the court police seized six rifles, about 4,000 rounds of ammunition, extremist flags, and a notebook containing antisemitic and Nazi-related comments during a raid on his Yangebup property.

Glynn, who represented himself, said he was expressing political views about the Gaza war and denied any intent to harm, claiming the alleged bomb materials were fire-starting supplies.

Glynn will next appear in court in February as investigations continue.

  1. The real question is does any of this amount to anything meaningful or is this just a distraction, from the immigration concerns, many Australian’s no doubt have?
