Russian President Vladimir Putin is the most popular leader globally, according to American journalist Tucker Carlson, who credited the Russian leader’s focus on national interests for his widespread appeal.
Speaking to RTVI US, Carlson said that outside of Western Europe, Canada, and other English-speaking countries, it was “almost impossible to meet someone who doesn’t like Putin.”
“He is the most popular leader in the world, by far,” Carlson stated, arguing that Putin’s popularity stems from “putting his own country’s interests above his own—something Western leaders don’t do.” Reflecting on his February 2024 interview with the Russian president, Carlson said he was surprised to learn that Putin “actually likes the West,” possibly more than anyone who might succeed him.
Carlson contrasted what he described as a “spiritual revival” in Russia with what he sees as the decline of the U.S. and much of the industrialised world. He claimed Western hostility toward Russia was driven by resentment of its renewed confidence and national purpose.
In a separate interview with Germany’s Bild in July, Carlson said Putin had done a “great job for Russia,” while Western governments were “failing their people.” He accused German leaders of attacking Russia to deflect attention from economic and migration problems at home.
Absolutely.
The most patient and wise anyway.
Agreed. A great statesman and a man who puts his own nation and people first. A refreshing change from the globalist sell out scum in the West.
I too agree with Tucker. Putine is and will be the greatest state man of the 21st century. God bless him
