Auckland FC kicks off with four key signings

Auckland FC signings news

Auckland FC is ushering in a new era for professional football in the city with the announcement of their first four players – a big moment in the new club’s history.

The new signings include young talent Jesse Randall, 21, and seasoned players Michael Woud, 25, Francis De Vries, 29, and Cameron Howieson, 29.

The players bring a blend of youth and experience but also international exposure, with three having represented the All Whites and Randall playing at the Under-23 international level. Their arrival is just the beginning, as Auckland FC plans to unveil more players soon, aiming to build a dynamic and competitive team.

The club’s recruitment strategy emphasises strong ties to Auckland, intending to foster local talent and enhance the city’s connection to the team. Each player is aligned with Auckland FC’s attacking style of play and is eager to debut in the A-League this October.

The enthusiasm from the community has been overwhelming, said the club on its website.
