Friends, family, and the UK art community are mourning the loss of 31-year-old-artist Sarah Cunningham after police discovered a body at Chalk Farm Underground Station during the search for her.
Cunningham, last seen in Camden early Saturday morning, had been reported missing, sparking a community effort to locate her.
Although formal identification of the body is pending, her family has been notified.
Cunningham touched many lives through her art, which had been exhibited globally, from Berlin to Los Angeles. Friends and colleagues describe her as a “beautiful soul” and an “incredible artist.”
Cunningham, a Nottingham native and Royal College of Art graduate, had recently showcased her work internationally and was known for exploring dynamic themes in her art.
The Metropolitan Police, in collaboration with British Transport Police, are investigating the circumstances, treating the death as “unexpected” but not suspicious.

I didn’t see this before, beautiful work.
‘treating the death as “unexpected” but not suspicious’.
That’s sounds pretty sad doesn’t it.
