The upcoming Premier League Nines tournament on the Gold Coast will feature a host of former NRL stars, including Jarryd Hayne, Ben Barba, Michael Jennings, and Andrew Fifita, as they suit up for United Sporting Club.
Other notable players like Ken Sio and Peter Mata’utia, along with Fifita’s brothers David and Latu, are also in the lineup.
Organised by Anthony Mitchell, the tournament has gained momentum with numerous ex-NRL players returning to the field.
Hayne, making his rugby league comeback after last playing in 2018, has sparked intrigue about his form, especially with whispers of him signing with Wentworthville Magpies in the Ron Massey Cup.
The event will showcase a wealth of talent, including teams featuring Matt Bowen, Tyrone Roberts, and Sam Kasiano, as well as coaching roles filled by Greg Bird and Nathan Peats, blending rugby league legends with emerging talent.
