Rapper A$AP Rocky, whose legal name is Rakim Mayers, was found not guilty of firing a gun at former friend Terell Ephron during a 2021 Hollywood altercation.
A Los Angeles jury acquitted him of two felony assault charges, which could have led to a 24-year sentence.
The trial hinged on whether the alleged firearm was real or a prop, with no weapon ever recovered.
The courtroom erupted in cheers as the verdict was read, with Mayers embracing his family and thanking the jury.
The rapper, set for major upcoming projects, maintains his innocence, claiming Ephron fabricated the allegations for financial gain.
Who be doin’ dis…?
I’se didn do nuthin!
Dat b**** was wantin’ dem green leaves outta my pockets!
Of course the ‘Jury’ found him not guilty- probably a proper judgement entry, but also knowing that if he didn’t walk free, south-central L.A. would burn like it did in 1992 when Rodney King was arrested and beaten.
