India clinches Champions Trophy with four-wicket win over Black Caps

India took the spoils in the Champions Trophy final, defeating New Zealand by four wickets in Dubai.

Batting first, the Black Caps posted 251/7, with Daryl Mitchell top-scoring with 63 and Michael Bracewell contributing an unbeaten 53.

India’s bowlers, led by Varun Chakravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav, who took two wickets each, kept New Zealand in check.

In response, Indian openers Rohit Sharma (76) and Shubman Gill provided a solid foundation with a century stand.

Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, India maintained control of the chase, with Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel, and KL Rahul steering them to victory.

Requiring seven off the last two overs, India sealed the win with six balls to spare, securing the trophy.
