Mark Lundy granted parole

Mark Lundy news

Mark Lundy, twice convicted of murdering his wife and daughter in 2000, will be released from prison next month after serving over two decades.

The Parole Board granted the 66-year-old’s release under strict conditions, including electronic monitoring, bans on alcohol, internet use, and entering certain regions like Manawatū, where the killings occurred.

Lundy continues to maintain his innocence and is awaiting a Criminal Cases Review Commission decision.

Psychological assessments rate his risk as low, and supporters have offered him a stable home. Despite parole, Lundy could be recalled to prison at any time.

  1. I think that Lundy got into a bad business deal with one of the more violent gangs, perhaps without knowing it at the time, and when they demanded come-uppance, the gang(s) went to his home, only to find him not there, and the gang instead murdered Lundy’s wife & child as pay-back.
It could be also that new fresh evidence has emerged over time, hence the reason for parole until the new evidence can be examined with modern forensic tools.
IF you are having financial difficulties, DO NOT go to a gang-based or gang-connected Loan Shark.
Also, stay away from the Ho’s, as this can complicate your life in more ways than you know.
Polkinghorne is a grand example of this…but most who have been surveyed still think that Polkinghorne is guilty, but the Old Boy Network has protected him lest they too be dragged into being revealed as similar perps.

  2. Mark Lundy and his wife Christine had life insurance policies. They initially had coverage of $200,000 each, which they later tried to increase to $1 million each. However, due to affordability issues, they settled on $500,000 each
The updated policy documents had not been issued at the time of Christine’s death, so the payout was based on the previous amount of $200,000

  3. from Scoop: “Lundy’s 2002 convictions were based on a Crown case that gave him slightly under three hours to return from a business trip in Wellington in rush hour traffic on 29 August 2000, kill Christine and Amber, and return to the capital by about 8.30pm.” This seems a little rushed.
