Gregg Wallace speaks out after stepping down from MasterChef UK amid misconduct allegations

MasterChef UK host Gregg Wallace has addressed fans for the first time since news broke of his departure from the show.

In an Instagram video he said he was grateful for the overwhelming support from fans, with many praising his contributions to the show and lamenting his absence.

Messages flooded in, with fans calling him the heart of MasterChef and expressing hope for brighter times ahead.

Wallace’s departure follows the BBC’s receipt of complaints about “historical allegations of misconduct”, prompting an external investigation.

While Wallace has cooperated with the inquiry, production company Banijay UK stressed their “commitment to staff welfare” and a thorough review of allegations. Details of the misconduct have not yet been released.
