The Nurses Collective NZ (NCNZ) have said the second phase of the Covid-19 Royal Commission of Inquiry of failed to properly examine the ethical and professional harm caused by vaccine mandates, arguing that the final report records their experiences but does not recognise their significance.
A statement released by the group said many nurses who worked through the early stages of the pandemic under difficult and uncertain conditions were later excluded from employment after vaccine mandates took effect in November 2021, despite having continued to care for patients during the height of workforce pressure. NCNZ said the inquiry’s conclusion that vaccine approvals and mandates were “considered and appropriate” effectively erased the consequences faced by nurses who lost jobs, careers and professional standing, while acknowledging distress only as an impact rather than evidence that policy may have failed ethically.
NCNZ argued that concerns raised by nurses over vaccine safety, informed consent, proportionality and emerging clinical evidence were treated as background context rather than as professional warnings that deserved deeper examination. They also criticised the inconsistent exemption practices, saying some unvaccinated healthcare workers remained employed under exemptions while others with similar circumstances were stood down or dismissed, creating a stratified and unfair system.
NCNZ said one of the inquiry’s most serious omissions was its failure to address moral injury — the conflict experienced when clinicians felt forced to choose between professional ethics and economic survival — and warned that without recognising ethical harm, future emergency responses could again override professional autonomy. The statement said the inquiry focused heavily on legality, governance and institutional decision-making, but failed to ask whether nurses could practise ethically under the conditions imposed, leaving what they described as “procedural closure without moral repair.”
The group is calling for stronger accountability, greater transparency and a more honest examination of how emergency powers affected healthcare workers, arguing that unless ethical failures are acknowledged, public trust and reconciliation will remain incomplete.

Hear, hear! Couldn’t just be RAT tested daily, or have recovered with natural immunity according to the government, no jab no job bastards. We needed every Healthcare worker possible during the so called pandemic because the system was already understaffed. If they truly believed we were all at serious risk of dying from Covid, that would make the most sense to keep the staff rather than force them out of work like heartless thugs. Those making mandates decisions knew there was no evidence the jab could stop transmission making the whole pack of cards crumble. It’s heartening to see the backlash begin. I know that in the scheme of things I was only working in Administration for Waikato Hospital, they would not even give me the time of day and gleefully terminated my position as a booking clerk for refusing the Covid injection and would not give me a reference for my time there.
Did not stop transmission was a minor annoyance. The fact that the jabs were mandated by the Employers kept the Govt. at arms length. Yes that bribed corrupt criminal Govt. of those times paid the Media and Employers to push the jab mandates onto workers and a caring laid back community, must be held to account or our grandchildren are never going to forgive us. The biggest atrocity was when parents unwittingly took their very young children to be ‘vaccinated’. Many died leaving parents very distraught Thats when the Govt. had a problem. Did they stop the ‘vaccinations – no they pushed on at full speed ahead. Thats the point the Govt. crossed the line into Infanticide and Genocide. They paid out hush money up to 500k to parents in some cases to shut up and go away. This is a War Crime. This is a Crime against Humanity. That Criminal Govt. of that time must to be persecuted and prosecuted in a Nuremberg 2 style Trial forthwith. Otherwise we will be just skirting around the edges of this Crime with meaningless rhetoric.
The Plan, IMHO, was to permanently destroy trust. Destroy trust between colleagues within the health system and destroy the trust we need as patients that those standing between ourselves and death and debility have at all times our best interests at heart. That sincere caring is always evident ….inextricably woven with the science that has shaped healthcare for hundreds of years.
Healthcare, at all levels, has become commercialized and corporatized and that has somehow become acceptable. The pandemic merely provided the last nail.

Might be worth looking at who the traitors are on the board of inquiry and if they have any conflicts of interest, ties to big pharma etc, looks like the whole thing was rigged, stinks to high heaven, just like the Inquiry in the UK.
