Former nurse sentenced for exploiting vulnerable patient

Former Christchurch mental health nurse Peter Ogden has been sentenced to 12 months of home detention after pleading guilty to ill-treatment of a vulnerable adult, following a sexual relationship with a disabled mental health patient between 2021 and 2022.

The victim, who was “groomed and manipulated,” described in her impact statement how the abuse shattered her trust in men and nurses, leading to severe psychological distress, self-neglect, and panic attacks.

Despite the relationship being deemed consensual, the Crown argued it was inherently exploitative due to Ogden’s position of power.

Judge Tom Gilbert condemned the conduct as a gross breach of professional duty, stating Ogden will never work as a nurse in New Zealand again. Alongside his sentence, Ogden was ordered to pay $10,000 in emotional harm compensation.

  1. How can a mutual and consenting relationship ever be considered a crime? Well let me tell you that judge is a criminal equal to state ideology in nazi germany. I am surprised Judge Tom Gilbert didn’t find the man guilty of rape. A jury never would agree to that. I find Tom Gilbert should never work as a judge again.

You want true examples of severe psychological distress?

Severe psychological distress of male victims in family court is the leading cause of male and child suicide. Often the cause of very nasty incidences of violence when male victim seek justice themselves.

Today’s women describe themselves equal to men in all areas. Except when a relationship goes south, they are completely the vulnerable victim. That they should have all the family wealth and ongoing income from the state and male victim.

This is why todays women can not find a man that will allow them to stay more than a weekend in their house. In other words, men are walking away from long term stable relationships and replacing them with short term or one off friends with benefits, casual and or young prostitutes.

The organisations who want less people on the planet know this is a proven way to reduce population, increase poverty , cause immense stress ending in violence and suicide.
