Humourous mishap on West Auckland’s Te Atatu Road as bus stop mistakenly road-marked as “BUS SOTP” instead of “BUS STOP”.
The spelling blunder caught the attention of locals, sparking jokes and comments on social media about the need for spelling lessons for those responsible.
The error was confirmed this afternoon in photos obtained by legacy media outlet Newshub.
A spokesperson for Auckland Transport (AT) downplayed the incident, calling it ‘very minor’, and said a fix will occur on a Tuesday night, depending on the weather – with costs borne by the contracting company.
