Marcus Fakana, a 19-year-old Briton who was jailed in Dubai for having sex with a fellow tourist, has died in a car crash in north London just three months after his release.
Fakana was a passenger in a vehicle that crashed in Tottenham after failing to stop for police, with the driver now facing charges of dangerous driving.
His death has prompted an outpouring of grief from family, friends, and campaigners, including Detained in Dubai founder Radha Stirling, who said he had endured severe trauma during his imprisonment and was trying to rebuild his life.
