Cumbernauld mother Paula Dewar has been ordered by North Lanarkshire Council to dismantle her elaborate Halloween tunnel, which had become a local attraction and charity fundraiser.

Officials deemed the structure — featuring pumpkins, ghouls, and other decorations — unsafe due to its plastic and wooden components extending onto a public footpath.

Dewar, who has hosted the display for years, said she was shocked by the decision, noting the tunnel is secure and temporary.

Despite the order, she hopes to continue raising funds for charity, while the council stated it prioritizes public safety and is open to helping organize a compliant display next year.

  1. Has nothing to do with health & safety & is likely due to complaints from Muslims as it’s considered Haram. They also attempt to get the English st georges cross flag removed including the national flag lol
