A small aircraft crashed into an unoccupied house on Harvard Court in Pauanui on the Coromandel Peninsula, shortly after 9:10am on Christmas Day, police say.
Emergency services responded after reports the plane had come down next to Pauanui Airfield, with one ambulance treating two people at the scene.
St. John said one patient was in moderate condition and another had minor injuries, with both taken to Thames Hospital.
Fire and Emergency confirmed all people involved were accounted for. A witness told state media the aircraft struck the house after take-off, rotating on impact and causing damage to the building, while no one was inside the property at the time.
