Luxon urges countries to strengthen “rules-based order” amid shifting global trade

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon says growing turbulence in global trade has become a wake-up call for many nations, fuelling new determination among world leaders to reinforce the so-called “international rules-based order”.

Speaking to legacy media at the close of his trip through Southeast Asia, Luxon said that while recent geopolitical shifts may seem daunting, they also present opportunities for “adaptable economies” like New Zealand. He stressed the need to renew and modernise global institutions such as the United Nations and the World Trade Organisation so they remain “relevant and effective” in addressing today’s crises.

Luxon described the postwar economic system as entering a new era, where flexibility and cooperation will determine resilience. He noted New Zealand’s agility, developed since embracing globalism by removing trade barriers in the 1980s, as a “key advantage” in navigating this changed environment.

Referring to upcoming talks between the EU and CPTPP trade blocs, Luxon said global players must “innovate and incubate new trading architecture” to protect the rules-based system. Despite challenges, he said the sense of unity at the APEC summit was strong, and reaffirmed New Zealand’s commitment to defending an open, lawful, and collaborative global order.

  1. First sign a poltician is a globalist sellout muppet – they use the phrase ” rules based order”. Wtf does it even mean Luxo? There’s no rules, its not international, and therefore doesnt promote any “order”.

    • The irony is Luxon calls for countries who enforce their anti competitive cartel rules, to protect the rules based trading system.

Fix the corrupt, kiwi battler life ruining, price fixing; supermarket, banking, insurance and electricity generators at home before you start preaching to the world Mr Luxon.

Promoting an MP who can remember and understand numbers to finance minister is the first obvious step.

  2. The people of New Zealand. The voters New Zealand have long memories.

The harsher you are on us, the harsher we will be on you. We don’t forget what you did.

I suspect National voters will either turn to NZ First or Act. We are sick to death of Luxon and Hipkins. Luxon is ineffective, digital ID, Hipkins didn’t show up to the covid enquiry, he approved 60 Billion borrowing jabed millions of kiwi’s.

    • Yep, exactly as decreed by Blackrock, WEF etc.
Has Luxon accepted their “koha” just like JA did?
NZF or ACT for me from now on.

  4. His words speak volumes. Clearly Luxflake is another corporate powderpuff globalist hack. These political creatures do NZ no favour.

  5. Rules-Based Order = New World Order at the expense of individual nation’s ‘citizens’.
Luxon’s ‘Global Order’ is infested with Palantir, 5G, 5-Eyes, CBDC, alignment with the PTB who are abiding by the WEF, WHO and NWO DICTATES, and Judith Collin’s Modus Operandi.
We should consider NOT EVEN VOTING FOR THOSE CURRENT POLITICAL PARTIES THAT OCCUPY THE WASP NEST, BUT RATHER WE SHOULD ALL VOTE FOR THE NEW ZEALAND LOYAL PARTY, WHICH HAS POLICIES THAT WILL GET US OUT OF THIS GLOBAL MESS, OUT OF NATIONAL DEBT, AND AWAY FROM THE SICK SYCOPHANTS WHO GO ABOUT DECEIVING BOTH US AND THEMSELVES!!!

Of course, globalism, as we are seeing, with the corrupt Gene Tech Bill, is all about undermining rules based systems and replacing them with a post nationalist, post sovereign, capital driven, neo colonial, wild West. People and the environment, don’t matter, only money for the international elites and their colonial governors, masquerading as elected governments.

  7. Keep up Luxon. The British Imperialist System’s International Rules Based Order just officially died. Mark Carney, Canada’s PM has just stated on camera that the Globalist World Order has ended. This came after Donald Trump’s significant breakthroughs in Asia that sidestepped the British Imperial system.
