Officer shot in head during Piopio incident – police

Tom Phillips news

Tom Phillips has been killed after a dramatic shootout with police in Piopio, where an officer was shot in the head with a high-powered rifle and critically injured, say police.

Phillips, who had been on the run with his three children since 2021, was confronted by police after a burglary at a rural farm supply store. Officers spiked the quad bike he was riding with one of his children, leading to an exchange of gunfire. Acting Deputy Commissioner Jill Rogers confirmed that Phillips died at the scene, while one child was taken into custody and is “receiving support”. The injured officer has been flown to Waikato Hospital for urgent surgeries.

Police say urgent efforts are now underway to locate Phillips’ two remaining children, amid “serious concerns” for their safety. Multiple firearms were allegedly found on the quad bike, and authorities are treating the incident as a critical police matter, with oversight from the Independent Police Conduct Authority.

Investigators continue to examine how the events unfolded, describing the situation as devastating and deeply traumatic for both police and the local community.

  1. Intersting, not sure I fully agree with Toms antics, but he had motivtion, I wouldnt be surprized if this Vaxtard copper actually shot himself ( the police officer prerequisites are getting lower ie fitness and intelligence but they all seem to have guns???) . One thing forsure is that we wont get the truth on this, as major proir police embarassments and general support for Tom will mean a cover up for our protection is required. God Bless NZ police.

  2. Once again gun hoe cops corner a desperate man and blame him when the outcome is regrettable.

This is after the NZ Police have been very embarrassed by Phillips evasion of them. They have done their best to vilify him and depict him as armed and dangerous, escalating AOS responses. Perhaps Phillips knew they would come at him with guns at his final stand.

  3. So they spiked a quad bike he was riding with a child on board, is that right? I doubt we will ever know the whole story here.

    • The child that was with thier beloved dad at the time of his assassination will know exactly what happened. The mother too will be fully aware her part in the family court aswell.

What a tragic end to these children’s dad. A father shot dead in front of his child. A child who was defending their dad and their relationship with him. A man hunt against a dad and children who decided to do whatever was necessary to stay as a family unit. To give the fingers to the judge and the court system. By the way. What is the name of the family court judge?

Just waiting for the spin and justification the police will will dish out to the public. These kids will know what the mother is. Thousands of alienated dads and reunited children across the nation and the western world will know this shitty little feminist family court industry really is. Wealth plundered by the legal system and lawyers who know how to keep the ball in play.

Where is the western world at the end of all this? Women can’t get a man to commit. Can’t move into a man’s home. All for the single goal of having the least people on the planet.

When the police force (not service) road spke this family whos only alternative to stay together was to go bush they crossed the line. The policeman who was shot in the head got a full brunt of a father and child who’s only wish was to stay together. That policeman if he survives will have to wear that scar on his face for life.

Just waiting on the spin the commissioner is going to skilfully fabricate to explain their method and ideology.

It is long past time the government starts to review the family court weath redistribution system. Leaving such a system in place invites more of the same fartherless children, desperate want to be mothers who have to settle for illegitimate children, injected pregnancy only to drop babies off to child care to afford a lifestyle.
