Emily Oster, an economist at Brown University, implored people who suffered under COVID policies in the US to call a truce.
Oster’s call to forgive and forget COVID crimes was published in The Atlantic, a leftist, pro-jab legacy media magazine publication.
‘Moving on is crucial now, because the pandemic created many problems that we still need to solve,’ wrote Oster. ‘We have to put these fights aside and declare a pandemic amnesty.’
‘The people who got it right, for whatever reason, may want to gloat. Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts. All of this gloating and defensiveness continues to gobble up a lot of social energy and to drive the culture wars, especially on the internet. These discussions are heated, unpleasant and, ultimately, unproductive. In the face of so much uncertainty, getting something right had a hefty element of luck. And, similarly, getting something wrong wasn’t a moral failing. Treating pandemic choices as a scorecard on which some people racked up more points than others is preventing us from moving forward.’
Many people however, did not buy it, with ‘COVID Amnesty’ trending on Twitter as folks, mainly unjabbed as well as pro-freedom activists, vented their frustration and refused to simply ‘forgive and forget’.
The ‘COVID Amnesty’ theory is yet to hit in New Zealand, but is likely to experience the same pushback as it has in the United States.

I suppose the god squad will be activated by the media and out soon preaching ‘turn the other cheek’ and other such rubbish. Such people are enablers of what has happened and what will continue to happen until the perpetrators of criminal behaviour are stopped in their tracks, not forgiven. We know who the crooks in positions of authority are and what they did. We know that no government could have done what they did without the help of the media and the police. Many Christians tried to warn others what was happening, many haven’t taken the jab. Whether people want to believe it or not, a lot of what has happened is foretold in the bible.
The Nazi’s used their biologists (“trust the science”) to determine that the Jews were “the Untermensch”. Then the “science” was used as justification to round up the Jews into Ghettos and then into concentration camps before their eventual genocide. Some people on the hard left suggested that people who refuse to take the “vaccine” should have been rounded up and put into camps (this was stated in Australia and the USA upon social media). I cannot believe how quickly the lessons of WW2 have been forgotten. The “science” determined that the vaccine was “safe and effective”. According to the VAERS database, excess mortality noted by life insurance companies in many countries (10% to 30% excess mortality increase), other data recorded by governments independent of VAERS, morticians, and doctors the vaccine is neither safe nor effective. Individual sovereignty has been ignored as if, in our society, the individual is not respected at all for their wishes or views: Our voice and intent in our societies, 2000 years after Lord Jesus walked the Earth, carries no weight. Our societies ignore us!
There can be no amnesty: What has happened is a crime against humanity and, in addition, the Nuremberg code of 1947 states that any medical treatment shall be via informed consent. There shall be no coercion and up until the last moment the person can say “No”. We were coerced strongly with either the choice to take the vaccine or lose our jobs and, therefore, starve to death. This is the reality of the societies that we now live in.
