Where is all the toxic waste emanating from the Bluff Aluminum Smelter disposed of?
Waste from the Bluff aluminum smelter—specifically from the Tiwai Point facility—has been a long-standing environmental concern, especially the highly toxic spent cell liner (SCL)
    What Is SCL?
    A byproduct of aluminum smelting.
Contains cyanide, fluoride, and other hazardous materials.
When exposed to water, it can release explosive gases like hydrogen, methane, and ammonia
    Disposal History & Current Status
Stored On-Site: Over 217,000 tonnes of SCL are currently stored at Tiwai Point
Buried Waste: Investigations revealed that some waste was buried in un mapped and un consented sites, especially before the Resource Management Act of 1991
Export for Reprocessing: Since 2020, NZAS (owned by Rio Tinto) has exported around 32,000 tonnes of SCL for reprocessing
Future Plans: NZAS is exploring building an on-site processing facility to convert SCL into a non-hazardous material usable in the cement industry
Goal: Remove and reprocess all SCL by 2029
Or is this fed back into the unwanton unawares participation loop of bio metrics in the ongoing lab rat experiment?
That keeps Air NZ in business

    Food for thought

    • A good distraction would be to say there is a huge stock pile of toxic substances exiting when in fact they were being eroded all the time on a constant basis and dispersed as chem trails
Nothing like participating in and paying for your own demise

  2. The main problem at intersections
Whether or not people are under the influence of drugs alcohol or in a trance asleep at the wheel due to long covid
Or possibly a combination of all three
Besides being too fast in too much of a hurry not taking enough care
Is that they look too far down the road
And cannot see the wood for the trees
Until they feel a splat and are faced with an instantaneous reality check that they have f*cked up

  3. From what I’ve heard through an associate of the family involved, the daughter had a meth fueled rage and stabbed her father whom was driving, the car crashed as a result and the mother was also assaulted.

    • You are right, perhaps we need Philopenas ex PM Dutantaee to sort out the drug problem we have in Aotearoa.
      He would fix it overnight.
Seems our courts want the P epidemic to continue.
      Actions speak louder than words.
