New Zealand completed a historic 3-0 series sweep against India, marking the first time the hosts have been blanked at home since 2000.
On a challenging Wankhede Stadium pitch, New Zealand dismissed India for 121 to claim a 25-run victory in the third test.
Despite a hard-fought 64 from Rishabh Pant, India faltered after falling to 29-5.
Ajaz Patel’s exceptional 6-57, his second five-wicket haul in the match, led New Zealand’s charge, supported by contributions from Glenn Phillips and Matt Henry.
The maiden series win for the Black Caps in India since 1955 also ended India’s impressive 18-series home winning streak dating back to 2012.
