Will Jordan became the All Blacks’ all-time leading Test try-scorer after crossing three times in New Zealand’s 47-17 victory over Italy in Wellington.
Despite Italy making a fast start with an early try and trailing by only four points at halftime, the hosts took control after the break with a decisive burst of scoring led by Jordan, who reached 50 Test tries in just 56 appearances.
Jordie Barrett played a key role in creating opportunities throughout, while Cam Roigard, Ethan de Groot and Tupou Vaa’i also scored.
Italy continued to challenge even after lock Niccolo Cannone was sent off following an upgraded red card, but the All Blacks’ superior finishing and dominant second-half display secured a convincing win.
