Mac Allister’s last-gasp goal rescues Liverpool in tense finish at Forest

Liverpool snatched a dramatic 97th-minute victory over Nottingham Forest after Alexis Mac Allister struck deep into stoppage time to seal a chaotic 0–1 win at the City Ground.

The Argentine midfielder finally found the net after earlier seeing a goal ruled out for handball, bundling home the rebound from Virgil van Dijk’s saved header following a tense VAR check that confirmed the defender was onside.

The visitors capitalised at the death to move level on points with Chelsea and Manchester United, while Forest were left frustrated after failing to convert periods of dominance.

Forest remain 17th, just above the relegation zone.
