Pakistan delivered a crushing nine-wicket victory over reigning world champions Australia in Adelaide, leveling the ODI series and setting up a decisive final match.
Australia struggled with the bat, bowled out for just 163 in 35 overs as Pakistan’s Haris Rauf dismantled their lineup with an impressive 5-29.
In response, Pakistan’s openers, Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique, put on a powerful 137-run partnership, with Ayub scoring a quick 82 off 71 balls and Shafique remaining unbeaten on 64.
Captain Babar Azam sealed the win in style, launching Adam Zampa for a six to complete the chase with 23.3 overs remaining. The final ODI will take place at Perth’s Optus Stadium on Sunday, followed by a three-match T20 series between the teams.
