All Blacks Head Coach Dave Rennie has confirmed his assistant coaching group and Head of Performance through to the 2027 Men’s Rugby World Cup, naming Neil Barnes, Jason Ryan, Tana Umaga, Mike Blair and Phil Healey. Rennie said the group has “vast proven experience” and is “highly skilled,” with each coach bringing leadership, technical strength and motivation to the role.
Barnes will serve as Senior Assistant Coach, Ryan continues with the forwards, Umaga takes on defence, and Blair will lead attack following the Japan season. Healey has been appointed Head of Performance, working closely with Rennie.
New Zealand Rugby also acknowledged outgoing coaches, while Tamati Ellison has been named Māori All Blacks Head Coach for upcoming fixtures against Japan.
