Late inclusion Blair Tickner claimed a career-best four for 34 and Daryl Mitchell struck an unbeaten 56 as New Zealand defeated England by five wickets in Hamilton, sealing the three-match ODI series 2–0.
England were bundled out for 175 in just over 35 overs, with Mitchell Santner and Tickner sharing key wickets after Jofra Archer’s fiery 3-23 gave the visitors early hope.
Chasing the modest total, New Zealand overcame a few wobbles thanks to Mitchell’s composed partnership with skipper Santner (34 not out), securing victory in the 34th over at Seddon Park.
