Australia’s most capped player, prop James Slipper, will retire from international rugby after facing New Zealand this weekend in Perth.
The 36-year-old, who debuted in 2010, became the first Wallaby to reach 150 Test caps, played in four World Cups, and captained the side 15 times.
Slipper described representing Australia as the proudest achievement of his career, fulfilling a childhood dream that spanned nearly 16 years.
Coach Joe Schmidt praised him as the “ultimate team man,” while his final match comes with the Wallabies still in contention for their first Rugby Championship title in a decade.
