Warriors send early Premiership warning with statement win over Roosters

The New Zealand Warriors delivered an emphatic early-season statement by dismantling Sydney Roosters 42-18 in front of a packed and vocal crowd at Go Media Stadium, underlining their credentials as a serious premiership contender.

After taking control through a commanding first-half display, the Warriors never allowed the Roosters back into the contest, finishing with seven tries to three in a performance built on sharp execution and relentless pressure.

Tanah Boyd orchestrated the attack superbly, crossing for a try himself, creating two more, and adding six conversions to finish with an 18-point personal tally in a standout display that kept the visitors under constant strain.
