An unpublished study comparing vaccinated and unvaccinated children is fuelling renewed debate after claims from the research began circulating on social media, alleging significantly higher rates of chronic health conditions among vaccinated children.
The study is attributed to US infectious disease specialist Dr Marcus Zervos, who said he chose not to publish the findings out of concern that doing so would end his professional career.
The research found markedly higher incidences of asthma, autoimmune disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions, speech and motor impairments, and recurrent ear infections among vaccinated children, while reporting no cases of several conditions, including ADHD and diabetes, in a cohort of nearly 2,000 unvaccinated children.
The study’s conclusion asserts that vaccination was independently associated with an increased likelihood of developing chronic health conditions.
Supporters of the research argue the findings raise serious questions about whether dissenting or unexpected results face institutional and professional barriers to publication, particularly in politically sensitive areas such as vaccination policy.
The study has not been released for peer review, and its data and methodology have not been made publicly available, meaning the claims cannot be independently verified.
While health authorities continue to rely on large-scale, peer-reviewed research supporting vaccine safety, the emergence of the claims has intensified calls for greater transparency, open scientific debate, and the publication of all results, including those that challenge prevailing assumptions.

Dr Andy Wakefield linked vaccines to autism—and lost everything. For pursuing the autism–vaccine connection, Wakefield lost his position at London’s Royal Free Hospital, his medical fellowships, his career in academic medicine, his medical license, and his standing in the UK medical establishment.

Wrong; millions of children …
He didn’t attempt to publish it because the parent institution Henry Ford Health “determined that [the study] failed to meet basic scientific research standards.”
Had he forced the issue and gone solo like Andrew Wakefield he would have been made a pariah, struck off and had no way of reaching a wider audience and any trace of scientific validity the study has would be permanently lost.
At least this way the study has now been entered into the Senate record: Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) entered the unpublished draft into the record during a hearing of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (PSI) entitled “How the Corruption of Science Has Impacted Public Perception”
