British police have re-arrested Hadush Kebatu in north London, ending a two-day manhunt after he was released from prison while awaiting deportation.
The 41-year-old, convicted last month of sexually assaulting a teenage girl and a woman in Epping, was found in the Finsbury Park area on Sunday morning following a public tip-off.
Officers located him within minutes and took him into custody without resistance.
Justice Secretary David Lammy confirmed Kebatu will be deported this week back to Ethiopia and announced a full independent inquiry into the incident.
