The Conservative media commentator hit back at her former colleague Andrew Klavan for disparaging her character as an ‘anti-semite’.
In an interview yesterday Klavan admitted her departure was in part caused by some ‘strongly anti-semitic’ comments.
Owens has been highly critical of the Biden regime’s support of Israel in its conflict with Hamas in Gaza, with some commentators claiming this was the real reason for her departure. The Daily Wire promotes itself as a ‘marketplace of ideas and opinions’, committed to free speech.
In a series of tweets today Owens also commented on her long-running battle with high-profile Rabbi Schmuel Boteach, who has also accused her of anti-semitisim and of inciting ‘jew-haters’ to murder him and other jews via a private message – an allegation which has been swiftly debunked.
She was also labelled an antisemite by some after tweeting ‘Christ is King’.
Responding to the allegations Owens tweeted, ‘I recently learned that antisemitism is unlike any hate in the world – because the definition mutates. Today’s current definition seems to be: A Christian defending herself from a predatory, dishonest Rabbi by liking a tweet for the OBVIOUS reason that it debunked his lie.’
The fallout from Owens’s departure has sparked a flurry of speculation about the future trajectory of conservative media. Analysts suggest that her exit may signal a broader shift towards more diverse voices and platforms within the conservative sphere. Owens has not disclosed her next move but has teased the possibility of launching her own media venture, further fueling anticipation among her large following.
