Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan in Saudi Arabia to discuss regional developments and ongoing efforts to broker a ceasefire in the Palestinian Gaza Strip and Lebanon, according to Saudi state media.
The talks come amid a stalemate in ceasefire negotiations and escalating tensions between Israel and Iran.
Araghchi expressed hope that these discussions could improve conditions in Palestine and Lebanon and help establish peace in the region.
His visit follows the recent re-establishment of diplomatic relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, which resumed just a year and a half ago after a long period of no contact.
