Kemi Badenoch has made history by becoming the first black woman to lead a major political party in the UK, taking the helm of the Conservative Party after a Saturday vote in which she defeated MP Robert Jenrick by 12,418 votes.
Badenoch, 44, succeeds former leader Rishi Sunak, promising to revive the party and win back voters who turned away after the Conservatives’ record defeat in the July general election, which ended a 14-year period in power.
Raised in Nigeria and the United States after being born in the UK, Badenoch brings experience from her background in banking and IT, as well as her work as an MP since 2017.
In her victory speech, she acknowledged the party’s challenges and emphasized the importance of “bringing back” disillusioned voters, asserting that the Conservatives are “critical to the success of our country.” She highlighted the need for honesty, admitting that the party has “made mistakes” and “let standards slip” during their tenure.
The July election loss, which handed control to the Labour Party for the first time in over a decade, capped a period marked by a sharp drop in living standards, surging energy costs, and persistent inflation. Like her predecessors Liz Truss, Boris Johnson, and Rishi Sunak, Badenoch inherits the challenge of addressing these economic issues while working to restore public confidence in the Conservative Party.
It is an honour and a privilege to have been elected to lead our great Conservative Party. A party that I love, that has given me so much.
I’d also like to pay tribute to @RobertJenrick who fought a great campaign. I have no doubt he will have a key role to play in our party… pic.twitter.com/BKs9YI6Oe7

Just like New Zealand, two ghastly globalist mainstream party’s who are essentially in lock step, working in the interests of big business and foreign entities, like the WEF, WHO, IMF, UN….
‘Keep it real, keep it Kemi!’ wishing her strength and humour for the ending of the turbulent tax-for-war Starmer paid for pyjama years.. ballot box voting first up…every machine in the world can and will be compromised in favour of their overlords.
