Ultra-orthodox Jews protest IDF draft in New York

Thousands of ultra-Orthodox Jews filled streets near the Israeli consulate in New York City on Sunday to protest Israel’s plan to end military draft exemptions for religious students.

The demonstration, organised with support from the Central Rabbinical Congress and led by both Satmar grand rebbes, underscored tensions between the Jewish Zionist and Orthodox communities.

The exemption, in place since Israel’s founding in 1948, was struck down by the Supreme Court last year, prompting fears among ultra-Orthodox Jews that compulsory service would erode their religious way of life. The issue has become more divisive amid the ongoing Gaza war, as many secular Israelis view the exemption as unfair, while ultra-Orthodox Jews view the state of Israel as contrary to Jewish teachings.

  1. For many Jews the state of Israel is an abomination, against the teachings of the Torah. To add insult to injury the fake Jew Zionists, all of whom are eastern european slavs like Netamyahu have stolen huge areas of land from Palestinians like common thieving c****.

  2. The wind is turning. Still many jews support israhell and ” the right to ” defend” itself. Meaning approval of genocide.
Otherwise why apply censure over what is happening in Gaza, hey ?
Tiktok is its most recent example
