Costco in the US has recalled its ‘Kirkland Signature Severe Cold & Flu Plus Congestion’ medicine due to potential contamination with foreign materials, marking the second product recall in recent weeks.
The affected item, with lot code P140082, was sold in select Midwest and Southeast locations in the US between October 30 and November 30, 2024.
Customers are urged to return the product for a full refund and avoid using any remaining doses.
This follows a December recall of 8,640 boxes of the same cold remedy after the FDA deemed oral phenylephrine ineffective as a nasal decongestant. Consumers with concerns can contact the manufacturer, LNK International Inc., for assistance.
